incoming mail - imap setup assistance

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Authenticate failed error when connecting to Exchange

I'm trying to setup the incoming mail with imap but i'm running into issues.  imap is setup and I can telnet the server.  I get connection reset in JIRA setup.  its very unclear what needs to configured.  am i supposed to add a string here for imap?  see pic.imap.JPG

Ports are open on exchange too.
