how can we lock down the worklog?

So (If I understand right) your users can edit the worklog, so the "Time Tracking" fields are on the Edit screen for your project.

To make it impossible for users to edit the Time Tracking fields, remove Time Tracking from the Edit screen.

This way users can still see the time logged (the Time Tracking field is on the View screen)

but they'll be unable to change this field because you removed it from the Edit screen.

You can find and edit a JIRA screen in less than a minute, so this shouldn't be too painful laugh

(Based on Nic Brough's recommendation for making fields read-only which I found here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/226463 )

Thanks David for your answer

example, if the week is over and we are in current week, they shouldn't able to log the hours on past week dates, this is what we are looking for.

sorry for not giving proper clarity.
