How can I edit the email notifications I receive?

Note that my JIRA instance is running on the cloud.

Hi, 

On the cloud i think this is not possible, you need a plugin like Email This Issue that adds this functionality:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.metainf.jira.plugin.emailissue/cloud/overview

On JIRA Server, you need to simply edit the templates located at the JIRA installation folder
