Once task is in progress can the activities in the task be modified, or does the progress need to be stopped and edits made outside of the process running?

Hi @Rebecca Bickett,

  1. JIRA is fully fledged software, in which you always have options to customize your configuration.
  2. You can configure your screen(create/edit/view) to modify activities while performing workflow transition.
  3. You can have a pop-up screens on different transitions to modify/change the activities.
  4. Also you can completely restrict editing issues once it is created.

Thanks,

Ranganath

You can certainly modify a task when it is in progress. Why would you want to prevent editing in the first place? It makes sense to stop editing once a task is closed.

Hey Rebecca,

You can always edit the issue if you have edit permission which can be configured in Project Administration under Permission Scheme.
