can we trigger our custom event on clicking of jira inbuilt action button like done. This custom event implemented on jira addon (cloud instance)

I have a plugin for JIRA cloud which contains checklist for tasks, with some mandatory and optional questions. In case all mandatory questions are not answered by user, then I do not want to allow JIRA user to mark task DONE

It sounds like what you want is an Atlassian Connect Workflow condition; which is currently not supported.

"Done" is a workflow transition, so you can edit your workflow, and change the "fire event" post-function on that transition to fire whatever event you need to
