Why is JIRA emailing my personal email account?

My profile is set up with my business email account. This is what is indicated in my profile. However, when I am tagged on a ticket, I receive a notification email in my personal email inbox. Why? How can this be corrected?

Sounds like you have another account with your personal email on it, and people are choosing that instead of your actual account.

Hm. yeah, i don't know how my personal email got affiliated with our business account though. Shouldn't that be impossible?

You can put in whatever email addresses you want, so no,
