Why can only a JIRA administrator configure a board's swimlanes?

 Isn't it possible for "normal" users to configure as he/she prefers?

Hi FT

To configure swinlanes you don´t need JIRA administration, only board administrator, and who creates the board can give administration permission to whoever he/she decides, but consider that the configuration is for all the people who uses the board (is not a personal configuration)

Yet, you can have your own board configured as you like

thanks for your reply. Did not know that I can configure additional Board-Administrators. I will try that. Thanks.

My request was to have the "normal" users to be able to switch layout of boards (without being admin of the board) and only make this personal view visible for them and not for all other board users.
