What is the easiest way to get to the issue navigator in the new Jira experience?

This isn't clearly labelled and the help docs overlook it as well. In the old interface it was clearly labelled under the Issues Navigation at the top. Related to this is the fact that my new Jira experience comes with a grey sidebar and a blue sidebar navigation. What's the difference? Since the blue one appears to be better, is there a way to turn off the grey one or to avoid it. That's the most confusing piece of the whole thing. Thank you.

Click the magnifying glass in the side bar on the left and from the menu that opens up, choose view all issues. This brings you to the issue navigator.

You can also click 'issues' in the same sidebar and then select 'Search issues' from the menu that pops up.

Or even quicker, using keyboar shortcuts: press 'g' and then 'i'.
