What is the difference between "Not a bug" and "Works As Designed" in Jira Resolution?

Please let us know the exact differnce between "Not a bug" and "Works As Designed" in Jira Resolution and when it should be used?

Those are not standard off-the-shelf resolutions in JIRA, so they have been added by your administrators for some reason.  You'll need to ask your admins and users who asked for those resolutions are what they think the differences are.

In plain English, they could be read as having slightly different meanings.  "Not a bug" implies that the developers are not going to do anything about the issue because it is not caused by something they can fix.  "Works as designed" implies that the user has reported something as being wrong but it's actually doing what the writers intend it to.   I think they're different enough to be valid, but that's a decision for your users.
