User Stories & Sub-tasks

Sanjay Sahu March 9, 2016

When pulling a filter or report, of user stories, how can users see what User Stories have sub-tasks? As there does not appear to be a common field that is in the issue/filter results when viewing results.  Currently, when a query is pulled, users can retrieve the user story and sub-tasks issue types, however the results do not have a common field that links the user stories to sub-tasks. Users cannot tell which stories have specific sub tasks unless they open each user story.

Hi Abhijith,

in case you want to see the actual sub-tasks you should include the sub-task column in the issue navigator screen (where the filter result is shown)

In this case you see 6 sub-tasks, 5 are done, 1 is in progress.

In case you want to see the count of the tasks only - not the actual sub-task keys you have to use scripted field from Script Runner.
