Update Resolution field and Date for closed issues

Hi,

We need to update Resolution field and Date for closed issues.

Earlier we did not have a post function to set resolution field in the workflow.

So the existing closed issues are not updated with the resolution value and hence difficult to generate report.

Now added the field in transition and it gets automatically updated for new issues.

Please let me know how to update the field. Since the issues are closed earlier i cannot transition it which will affect the close date.

Please provide solutions. If we can run sil listener or any other scripts to run manually and update the field for the issues.

It's possible to use the CSV import function to overwrite the Resolved field.

  1. Click Issues and select search for issues
  2. Search for the relevent issues
  3. Click Columns and select KeySummary, and Date Resolved fields ONLY
  4. Click Export and select either CSV (Current Fields) or Excel (Current Fields)
    This will download a file of the exported issues
  5. Update the date as needed for each Resolved Date field
  6. Import the issues using the importer in AdministrationCSV Import

Is it possible to set "Resolution Date" value as NA?

Yes, it's possible, you can update RESOLUTIONDATE field in the jiraissue table to set the value null.
