Translated suffix in time tracking

We changed the format for our time tracking from "pretty" to "days", as we wanted to have the days suming up in our projects.

A side effect of this change is that jira now translates the unit suffix from "d" (days) to "t" (tage -> german locale).

Is there a possibility to override the german translation of the suffix, as our users as used to and want to have "d" as unit for days?

peter
