I am confused by the default workflow scheme. When the "Resolve Issue" button is clicked the status is set to Closed. When the "Close Issue" button is clicked the status is set to Resolved. Why is it bass-ackwards?
You're not using the default workflow if that is happening

If other departments were like ours we were given zero training so I could easily see another group screwing around with the default, not realizing it affects everyone.

I have multiple projects that use variations of the same base workflow. The variations depend on the requirements of the project or issue type. The variations mostly come in the form of new statuses ...
