Remove Activity Stream from User Profile

darylchuah Atlassian Team Nov 11, 2016

Hi,

we are sharing our Jira with some external customers. Everything is fine, except of the activity stream on the user profile page. Cause there is no option for filtering, activities from other system appearing such as Bamboo builds. We wan't to suppress this. I know, that there is an issue on the public tracker, but you know - atlassian is not that fast solving these kind of issues.

Now the question: is there a way to edit the template of the page, to exclude the stream? I don't want to disable the activity plugin completely.

Thank you!

Hi, i found a solution.

You have to comment out / remove line 32-38 in

\opt\atlassian\jira\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\templates\plugins\userprofile\summary-panel.vm

Restart JIRA and the activity stream is removed from user-profile page.

Note: Updating JIRA will revert changes, so you better write a patch for it.

Hi this solution works perfect for us and our workers council ;-) in Jira 6.

But what file or template is it in Jira 7.

\Atlassian\JIRA\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\templates\plugins\userprofile\summary-panel.soy"?

Which lines work here to comment out?
