Let's posit that I can display a ticket from a remote system using a url such as https://remote/ticket.html?id=1234. I would like to add an issue field to contain the remote ticket id and if this field contains data, then display an issue link that will open a new window with the remote ticket. I have reviewed an number of documents, but I have found nothing that doesn't overly complicate the seemingly simple.
