Quick filter behave as union instead of intersection

Richard Edwards February 20, 2018

Is there a way to get quick filters to behave as a union as opposed to an intersection?  For example, if I have the 3 quick filters:

1) assignee = User1

2) assignee = User2

3) assignee = User3

and #1 and #3 are clicked/highlighted, I want all issues that are assigned to User1 _OR_ User3 to be displayed (as opposed to no issues being displayed).

See duplicate question at https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Are-there-Logical-quot-OR-quot-quick-filters/qaq-p/450137

You can get "pretty much" by inverting your filters (so users other than 1 / 2 / 3 as 3 rules, then you can see users 1 and 2 by picking "not user 3", and you can see just user 2 by picking both "not user 3" and "not user 1".

Dear @Richard Edwards,

unfortunately not. This is how Jiras Agile Board filters are configured.

I think it is not possible. It is an intersection.
