Project Lead Cannot Close Sprint

Andy Rosequist June 23, 2016

After upgrading to JIRA v7.1.7, the "Manage Sprints" permission as appeared, and "Complete Sprint" has been greyed out for one of our Project Leads. Permission Helper shows that he has the "Manage Sprints" permission and no errors are brought about.

The project lead must have "manage sprint" permission for all the projects of the issues that are on that board. For example, if a board lists issues from two projects, you will need to have manage sprints for two projects.

Also, there is a bug, if an issue is moved from one project to another, you need to have manage sprints permission for the original project.

There are no other issues in another project under this sprint.

I have confirmed that one ticket used to be under another project, but giving the User "Manage Sprint" under all Projects has not resolved. All other tickets under the sprint are from the same Project.

If your project leader has the manage sprint permission and still cannot close the sprint, you have other users that are able to close the sprint search for all issues in the sprint.   they may be able to see what issues are in another project that is preventing the project leader from closing the sprint.
