I have a transition that I want users to use for Pass or Fail QA checks. How can I prompt the user with a comments screens on a Fail QA transition?

Hi Joshua,

First of all, you need to create a Comment Screen if there isn't any in your JIRA instance yet. I suppose this is what is causing your problem.

In the admin section of JIRA, go to Screens and add a new screen. Name it "Comment Screen" and don't add any fields to it, like this:

I assume you already have found the workflow editor and have already found out how you can add a status and a transition to a workflow.

So, edit your workflow and in the workflow editor, select the Pass QA Checks transition. Click Edit and associate the Comment Screen with the transition:

Don't forget to publish your modified workflow when you're done. Should be working like a charm now.
