Not listing all names in comments.

Sachin September 8, 2016

While commenting in JIRA @person_name , it shows a dropdown of the related persons/person names similar to the word. Although we have some names we are not getting all the names similar to that.

Ex : Mike Hardy and Mike Van Dyke . when we add @mike  We are getting only mike hardy but not another name.

Above was the just one example. Many JIRA users are facing the same problem. And also let us know on which bases this sorting works.

Please help as soon as possible.

Hi Sachin,

If your problem is not fixed by now, have a look at this article from the JIRA knowledge base: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/mentions-are-not-working-in-jira-applications-289277743.html.

There are a few things you can check as a possible cause to the behaviour you describe above. The most usual suspect being that Mike Van Dyke (in your example) might not have permission to see the issue you are mentioning him from.
