New issue type name does not propagate

Barry Kaplan May 1, 2016

I have changed the name of an issue type. But the old name still appears in the issue type schemes configure. Also when creating new issues the old issue type name is displayed.

The new name is shown in the Project Issues Types page and Configure Issue Type Screen Scheme page.

Is there some other step that must be performed when changing the issue type name or this is a bug (in JIRA cloud)?

These are not the default issue types. These are new issue types that I created and subsequently change the name.

I would always suggest to keep the default issues types, schemes you get with JIRA installation. If a new issue type is needed, try to create a new issue type > add it an issue type scheme. As it is cloud based instance, changes to default issue types may have not been fully applied.
