Naming convention for sub-task

How can we define the naming convention of sub-task in Jira.

I want to customize the naming convention of task and sub-task.

Lets say we have a task say PROJ-100. Is there any way we can define the naming convention or rule so that all sub-task name created will be prefixed with task name (PROJ-100) like

PROJ-100-1

PROJ-100-2

etc.

Thanks,

You can't.

Atlassian have been asked about this a couple of times, and they're not going to implement it.  You'd need to rewrite most of JIRA to enable it, and as the parent task is almost always shown with the sub-task, their view is that it's pretty much of no benefit to anyone.
