Multiple Tomcat 7 servers pointing to a single Atlassian JIRA home directory

What I want is one server installed with Atlassian JIRA and multiple servers running Apache Tomcat 7 pointing to that one Atlassian JIRA server i.e. accessing the home directory.

Is it possible?

I don't understand what you are asking.

If you are asking whether you can configure multiple empty tomcat servers to forward to a single master tomcat that is actually running JIRA, then this would be no different from setting up multiple apache httpd servers to all forward to the same JIRA instance, so yes you could.  I don't see what the point of that would be, but I would certainly expect it to function.

If you are asking if you can have multiple servers actually running JIRA themselves, then no.  That is a cluster and cannot be done safely unless you are using JIRA Data Center.
