May I upgrade my Jira 6 for more users without upgrading to jira 7?

Hi all,

I have a 2000 users licence JIRA 6.

I want to upgrade to more users (maybe 3000)

Is it possible, or have I to upgrade to JIRA 7 too?

Thanks.

Yes, you can just get a new licence at the next tier and use that on JIRA 6. I think a plain jira-core licence for 7 is backward compatible to JIRA 6 (not tried it, but even if it doesn't work, the worst case is you buy it and have to raise a support request to get it to work)

The next tier for you is 10,000 though, not 3,000
