Good Day! Our Analytics and Sales Force team had us (Infra Ops) create a server to house their JIRA and Confluence applications. They are not calling this server a mission critical server and would like us to create an HA pair server for it.

What is the servers purpose?
The server houses both the Jira and Confluence applications. The applications were provided free of charge from Atlassian (parent company).
How do you use/access the Jira server?
Jira Access - http://colo-jira-01.XXX.wish.org:8080/jira/
Confluence Access - http://colo-jira-01.XXX.wish.org:8090/conf/
Jira is utilized by the Salesforce Team and external consultant, Traction on Demand to manage the Agile/Scrum Project Management Software Development Lifecycle. The nature of the software development cycle necessitates access to this tool as it simplifies the tracking of work in progress through ‘user stories’.
Confluence is utilized by the Salesforce Team, RAD Team (Reporting, Analytics and Data), and External Consultant (Traction on Demand) as a collaboration tool for internal processes as well as knowledge sharing. The tool allows for the creation of various types of documents that all members of the teams can access and collaborate in real-time.
Is this a mission-critical server?
Yes, this is a mission-critical server.
What type of support do we have for our Jira server instance?
As the applications are free, we only have access to the free support.
Since we are a non-for profit, we would like to keep costs down. Can we use standard Microsoft HA deployment? Or do we need to purchase the JIRA Data Center?
