Jira export/import workaround

Good day,

Could you please advise how the text of tickets comments might be replaced without losing the changes history and authorship? Is there a special mechanism to achieve it?

We’re trying to make out the best way to perform the following set of actions:

1. Export comments to tickets. As comments are to be edited, we need the most convenient format to do it. For example, Word or Excel.

2. Import edited comments back to Jira in the same format they have been exported from the server.
