JIRA v3.12

Fong Gary March 8, 2016

Hi Team,

Is the JIRA v3.12 supporting the MSSQL Server 2012 version? Or we have to find different Database Server for the JIRA v3.12?

Thanks and regards,
Gary Fong

Hi Gary,

You may wish to look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/atlassian-support-end-of-life-policy-201851003.html which shows you the versions of JIRA and the end of life support. From this you will see that 3.12 is not actively supported. There have been many upgrades including security upgrades since the release of v3.12 (Dec 2012) that are likely to be of benefit to you. You should review the key security announcements at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/security-advisories-112853939.html.

However, if your installation is hosted on an intranet you may feel that these security risks are of minimal impact in which case you can review the supported platforms at v6.0 (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira060/supported-platforms-370705302.html) which does not list MSSQL Version 2012

and v6.3 (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira063/supported-platforms-683541780.html) which does introduce MSSQL Version 2012.

This implies that versions prior to V6.3 does not officially support MSSQL Version 2012.
