JIRA v3.12 Tomcat

Fong Gary March 9, 2016

Hi Team,

We are currently using JIRA v3.12 with Tomcat 5.5. Can you please let me know that the Tomcat 5.5 is including from JIRA v.312 product? For our migration from Windows 2003 to Windows 2012, we need to install the Tomcat 5.5 sperately?

Thanks and regards,
Gary Fong

Tomcat is included in JIRA Standalone versions. But in your case I would be more worried regarding Java, not sure if you can install that old Java on Windows 2012, especially in case if you are also migrating from 32 to 64 bit environment.

It's always best to use the Tomcat that is bundled with your target version of JIRA.

Hi Andris,

You mean the JIRA v3.12 cannot support the new Java on Windows 2012? Also the JIRA v3.12 not support 64 bit environment?

Thanks and regards,

Hi Gary,

Yes it is. Tomcat has been included into the installer.

You can find the JIRA installer for your version at this link:

Thanks,

Sergio
