JIRA: remove "You are using a mobile version" banner

wroot October 21, 2015

Hi,

A few open source projects i participate in use JIRA for bug tracking. I like JIRA, but one thing bugs me. When i use it on my tablet it loads a crippled mobile version. That's fine, i can switch to the desktop version in the settings. But it then shows a huge banner at the top of a page, telling me i'm using a mobile version with a button to go back to mobile. And it's not dissmissable, and huge, and annoying. Please, add a dismiss button (which will remember my selection) in the future update.

Why is not a banner than can be dismissed with state saved in a cookie? Why does the banner have to be so large? JIRA hits so many marks, but missed badly on this. Great product. Please make this change.

It's even worse in the latest (7.3.3) version. That banner is now static and doesn't go away when scrolling down. Even more space wasted..
