JIRA Zephyr - Any way to copy a test to another cycle, but create a new iteration of this test so that the original doesn't change when the copy is edited?

What I am trying to do:

  • Copy a number of test cases over to another cycle
  • Copy them in such a way that the description and test steps are copied over, but the copies have a new JIRA ID than the original
  • Be able to edit the copies without the originals also being changed

What I have tried:

  • Bulk copy

If anyone knows of another JIRA functionality that could help me do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

No, I do that for my regular workflow and editing the clones, even in a new test cycle, always edits the original too.

Would cloning the test cases and putting those clones into the new test cycle help you?
