JIRA - LDAP - JIRA access to users of specific groups in active directory

We do not want all users in the active directory to get JIRA login access.

We will have to create specific user Groups (e.g. Jira Users) – and manage the users who are allowed into that User group in active directory. Only those users will be able to login to Jira.

Any idea of how to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

I think you can limit the path by use the ldap which it's located under 'User Schema Settings'.

Additional link: The 'Connecting to an LDAP Directory'

You can move those users to specific OU in AD then point the ldap to that OU or create a group then add to all users in AD then filter from the group.
