JIRA External import from Redmine -History is not imported for issues. Is this a bug ?

Found the details, as a standard import process provided by - External Systems Import - Historical transitions are not captured. In case this information is required, it can be pulled in from Redmine using REST API to retrieve 'journals' and then add customized scripts to get it updated as comments in JIRA issues.

REST API Example:

http://{Redmine_URL}/issues/{issue_Id}.xml?include=journals
