Issue in Assignee queue

Rjve Nautiyal March 16, 2017

Hi,

I am using JIRA version with 7.1.4 (Server), basically we want to calculate the time the issue was in assignee queue.

Can this details be extracted without any plugin.

Thanks & Regards,

Rajeev Nautiyal

Ah, ok, not a queue then, you want to know how long an issue was assigned to a user (and presumably ignoring time while it is resolved)

I'm not sure how you might want to report on that, but for the issue, you could write a scripted field that calculates that from the history and displays it.

Apologies for confusion, it is basically the amount of the time the issue was with assignee.

We have various vendor involved in our projects. So whenever any bug is raised in JIRA it get passes through various vendor and then the status gets closed.

You keep saying "queue" without telling us what it is.

@Nic Brough [Adaptavist], I think Rajeev does not mean "queue" as a technical queue, but as the amount of time, the issue was assigned to an assignee.

Hi Nic,

We have many users in JIRA, suppose xyz user kept the issues in his queue for 8 hours with in-progress status and then later xyz user assigned the same issue to abc user and it was with abc for 3 hours and later it was assigned to "def" user with 5 hours.

So we should be able to extract the time it was with Assignee queue-

Issue Name-

Time in Assignee queue-

 xyz - 8 hours

abc- 3 hours

def - 5 hours

So, the above details will help us to check which of the assignee kept the issues in their queue for more time. Since we work on production support.

Thanks & Regards,

I want to +1 Thomas's comment about meaning.  It is not clear what you mean by "a user's queue" - how do you define that?

Did you look at the questions where your question was already discussed?

There are plugins which could help you with that, but I don't know a solution out of the box.

Maybe someone else can help you. I leave this as a comment, so the question appears still in the unanswered list.

Good Luck

Hi Thomas,

We are using JIRA version 7.1.4 and not JIRA service desk.

Hi Rajeev,

so I assume you are using JIRA Service Desk? If so, please add the label, so that the service desk specialists will look at your question. I'm not a servicedesk specialist smile
