Issue Collector Not Saving

Hello,

Is anyone else having any problems creating issue collectors? I just tried to create one, hit submit: the page came back with no displayed errors, and if I check the main Issue Collector screen, no collectors are registered.

EDIT: I also see "Issue Collectors will not record all the data submitted in the form, since the description and environment fields for the issue type are not present." at the bottom of the screen, but this is not true. For the selected issue type, those fields do exist on the screen.

I figured out the problem: there was a required field on the issue type I had selected that could not be display on the issue collector form. I made the field not required and the collector saved.

So the real issue here is that I did not receive an error message stating the problem.

Hello there,

Is Allow unassigned issues turned on? If it's off, please update it.

You can check the setting by doing the following:

  1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administratorsglobal permission.
  2. Choose  >System. Select General Configuration to open the Administration page. 
  3. Click the Edit Configuration button
