Is it possible to prefilter JIRA watchers to users who have browse permission when adding watchers?

Sven Wagner May 31, 2017

Hi folks,

is it possible to prefilterJIRA watchers to users who have browse permission?

For example User 1 has access to Project A and B but not C

User 2 wants to add watchers for an issue in project C. This user has Browse Users global permission as well as Manage Watchers project permission.
The autocomplete feature suggest User 1 when typing but that user does not have browse permission. If you try to add the user you will get an error which is expected.

Is is possible to pre-filter the JIRA watchers to users who have browse permission in the current project?

I think of the same mechanism when selecting an assignee.

Regards,
Patrice

Hi @Patrice David Förster ,

unfortunately you can't. That improvements should be implemented by Atlassian through the linked request.
