I am evaluating a bunch of Atlassian products and during the evaluation I have upgraded JIRA from 6.4.12 to 7.0. After the upgrade process, I am no more able to log in to the HipChat Server getting "Invalid email and/or password!" message. Logs say something like:
2015-10-19 11:45:11,212 http-bio-8095-exec-3 INFO [hipchat.server.rest.HipChatCrowdAuthenticateResource] [NDPsos24] Initiating authentication for user '***' 2015-10-19 11:45:11,424 http-bio-8095-exec-3 INFO [hipchat.server.rest.HipChatCrowdAuthenticateResource] [NDPsos24] Authentication for '***' failed. HTTP code: 403, XMPP error: not-authorized, message: null
'***' is my correct e-mail adress. Any impact of changed User model in JIRA 7.0 on integration with HipChat server?
The problem of not being able to log in suddenly disappeared after a couple of days. However, it might have been connected with the invalidating of the self-signed HipChat Server certificate in the JIRA keystore during the JIRA upgrade process. Reimporting the certificate with
keytool -importcert -alias hipchat -keystore $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file hipchat.cer
and restarting JIRA Tomcat has solved the following issue of not being able to link JIRA with HipChat Server.
