Is JIRA 7 and JIRA Software the same with different name?

I am on 6.3... so if we were to upgrade, which one is it.. A little confused on the names here. Thanks

Hey Vinny,

Actually in JIRA 7, the Agile and Service Desk are not plugins anymore. You can consider the following:

JIRA Core: Just JIRA
JIRA for Software: JIRA + JIRA Agile
JIRA Service Desk: JIRA + JIRA Service Desk

And you can manage these applications in the following navigation path (For JIRA 7): JIRA Administration > Applications

I wish Atlassian didn't rename JIRA Agile to JIRA for Software. I have a hard enough time getting our hardware folks to use JIRA but labeling it as a "Software" is putting another bump in the path.
