In JIRA 5.2, how do I get my workflow to Resolve a task?

So I created the transition and added these: 

THEN

Fire a Issue Resolved event that can be processed by the listeners. 
Edit

— THEN

The value(s) of field Resolved will be added to the issue's parent's field. 
Edit | Move Up | Delete

Neither seem to do what I'm looking for (or anything for that matter). The task stays Unresolved in the Resolution field.

What am I missing?

You need to present the field on the transition so the user can select a value or use a post function to set a value. All the issue resolved event does it trigger the notification scheme to email users set to receive it.
