If you exclude a release, how do you bring it back in later?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Excluding releases from your plan

Once a release is excluded, is there a way to bring it back in later when it is more complete and ready to be planned?

I had the same question. You need to reimport it by editing your Issue Sources. See this answer for details:
