If we have an active kanban board can we reconfigure it in scrum board?

Not really.  A Kanban board is a Kanban, and it's not really compatible with Scrum.  There's no way to "convert" them.

But you can easily set up a new board that uses the same filter to select the same issues, and make that a different type.  (Then, delete the old board if you're not going to use it)
