I need to do a bulk action that edits all of the issues associated to an epic to test out a reporting/tracking plugin.  Is there an easy way that I can query all of the issues for my bulk edit?

I have the epic that the stories are associated to, but each story also has its own bugs associated to it that I need to account for as well.

If the bugs are not directly associated with the Epic, you cannot do it in JIRA Cloud. On JIRA server, you can do it with a plugin like JQL Tricks.
