When I try to exit a closed ticket I do the following:
click "e" (opens popup)
Make changes I want to make
Click "Update"
Result: after a second the popup is still there, but the data is not saved.
I already changed the workflow and added jira.issue.editable with value "TRUE" (there was no jira.issue.editable available). After this the above was still valid.
Please explain how I can edit a closed ticket.
The workflows are published, but I have additional information.
If I edit using the edit button I cannot save (there are no errors visible in the screen). Clicking on the update button results in a pause of aprox. 1 second.
If I edit on the issue itself (for example by clicking on the pensil next to description) I can edit and save the changes. Changes are also visible, so this works.
Unfotunately I have no idea how to solve this.
Unfortunately this doesnt work (tried to describe that in my first post)

As Heidi has stated, it is very likely that you have edited an active workflow, meaning that you had been editing a draft instead. Please, double check that the draft had actually been published.

Did you publish the workflow?
Maybe you can find here what you are looking for: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/allow-editing-of-closed-issues-138704.html
