The principles (and details for doing it with Apache) are at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/running-jira-over-ssl-or-https-124008.html

Hi Nic,

We tried with help of this documentation already but some how not successful with our attempt since we are using command line and there wont be any GUI for a linux system.

Any other documentation in this regard?

Thanks again!

Er, there's a section in there titled "command line installation". Could you re-read the document properly?

Sure, let me get back to you with our failed attempts in detail. Thanks!
