How to look at related issues in JIRA software?

Vrushali Yewle August 11, 2017

Hello, I have created a user story and then multiple tasks needed to completely implement the user story. In JIRA, I chose the "issue relates" to field when creating the tasks in order to link them to the user story.

When I look at my KANBAN board, how do I tell which issues are related to each other? I am unable to figure out a way. Is there a setting or a widget to show the relationships between issues in a project?

This is important because: I have an Epic that has multiple user stories. Each user story has mutltiple tasks and each task could have multiple sub tasks. If I want to see a hierachy view, how do I achieve this?

Hi Vrushali,

You may want to take a look at the Links Hierarchy for JIRA & Agile add-on for JIRA:

Display the full hierarchy of linked issues, Epics and Susbtasks! Apply a lot of filters to put the focus on the relevant data only. Export to Excel, make bulk changes and much more!

Cheers,
