Hi All,
Does anyone knows how (if possible at all) to create a link to an issue in jira that soesn't include the real issue id? I dont want to have the project key inside the link text.
Thanks
Eitan
Hi Eitan,
there is no alternative Jira issue id without the project key. The project key with the sequential number is the main part of every URL that links to the issue.
Even if you could create such a link, anyone clicking on the link would then see the project's key in Jira.
What is the purpose of your question? Maybe there's another solution for your problem.
Thank you for your answer. This is related to different projects I work with and I didn't want to expose the project A key to project B - although I wanted to use a link to certain jira issue (which will be used for internal trace-ability needs) in a document which will be used in other projects.
