azias February 6, 2017

Hi,

I am looking  how to restrict the creation of a story in a project only the project leader. But other users must have the possibility to create bugs.

I have found how to restrict to creation of tickets to the project leader but it also forbid the creation of bugs.

Thank you

Sadly it's not possible in JIRA. When a group/role has the permission to create an issue, it could create EVERY type of issues available for the project.

Thank you for your answer.

I thought to a : I have tried to add a condition on a transition in the workflow (on a transition "TODO" from a state "NEW"') but it has not worked. Probably I not not have this correctly, somebody now how to say: "This transition may be done only may the project leader"

Or maybe my test has not worked because I am administrator and I can do anything event if I am not the project leader ?

It's a bit ugly but you can use a validator on the Create transition. With a different workflow for Story and Bug
