Every time an external email is incoming and the reporter doesn't have an account, he receives an email to activate your new account created automatically by JIRA, if the option 'Create Users' is checked.
So, is there a way to create the new user but block the JIRA's email 'Activate your Account'?
I am new to Jira, so bear with me.
I found some doco on changing the email templates, I haven't tested it yet, but it appears you may be able to adjust what the activation email says.
Users only appear to see the activation email once, even if they don't activate their account, which means it can say something like "thanks for using our helpdesk for the first time ..." and you may be able to remove the "Activate my account" button, then they won't see it again and they won't activate their account.
Doco is here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/customizing-email-content-802592932.html
Regards.
Brad.
