How do i delete the existing label permnantly

ThisI w question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: label

I want to delete label, i mean it should not appear even in the drop down. Pls let me know

The only way - find all useges of a label and update or delete it.

The easies way - use JQL: labels = labelToFind

Also be aware that you can do it only for visible for you issues only.
