This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Permissions overview
I set up our account initially but IT need to take control of this all now. How to I transfer rights to them. Just removing myself is scary as I would prefer to migrate administrator to the new person THEN remove myself....
I am the administrator at the highest level.
Thanks
Hi @Michelle Robin,
The best way to do this is to assign all Admin rights to the nominated IT person. Firstly you need to create a user account for them, and then add the correct groups to their user account.
You should be able to view your user account to see what groups you're a member of. That way you can make sure they have access to the same groups, and therefore the same permissions. When they've logged in and have confirmed they have full access, you (or the niminated IT person) can remove the admin groups from your account.
Hope that helps!
