How can i move "unexecuted" test cases from previous cycle to next.

asim March 24, 2016

I am using Zephyr for JIRA and the only options under execution status filter for moving un-executed from a previous test cycle are WIP/Blocked/Pass/Fail.

suggestions please?

What i have figured out is very lengthy. I first in ZQL, runa  query from the last cycle on whats not executed. then export those to CSV. Then get the Issue key id for the unexecuted and then go back to JQL and using the issue key i create a filter. And then i look up that filter when adding test cases.

Any shorter approach?

One idea

Create a search for the test cases in question (sounds like you already have that done) and save that query.

Create your test cycle in your new Project / Sprint / iteration / Wherever it is needed.

Click on the right gear icon for the Test cycle

click Add test cases.

Select "Via Search Filter"

Find your saved search.

Click all the OK and NEXT buttons.

You should have all necessary test cases in the new test cycle.
