How can I view the Jira "project role" field in a filter?

I need to create some filters based on Jira project role. I don't see Project role in the picker, there is something called "Team Role" but the values returned all say "None".  What is going on here?

Hi Kyle,

I imagine that "Team Role" may be a custom field which is not what you are looking for.

Out of the box it's not possible to search by project role. There is a feature request currently see - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-21711?error=login_required&error_description=Login+required&state=34d12f09-fad5-4052-b2ef-e508defe05cd

There is an add-on that provides this functionality:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218367/jql-booster-pack?hosting=server&tab=overview

If you were to use this you could then search using JQL using something like the below:

project = HelpDesk AND assignee IN membersOfRole("Support L3","HelpDesk")

Regards

Evan
